We have a pool. It's an above ground, 24' diameter, 5' deep pool. We have a solar cover for it and a cool shark thermometer (he's wearing sunglasses!) that floats around. All in all a very nice pool. Unfortunately we haven't opened it for the last two summers. The pump for it died, and we just haven't been able to justify spending the $300 on a new one. So there the pool sits. Cover on from almost 3 falls ago. I have made an attempt to open it several times this summer. The goal was to drain the cover (which is full of stagnent water and leaves), then drain the pool and start fresh with clean water, clean pool and maybe, just maybe, get a new or used pump. I drained the cover a total of 3 times now. Just when I get it done, we get rain. I finally gave up. What's the point, right? Well, now I am regretting that decision. We have Tadpoles living in the cover! They are huge, too. Almost frog stage. I should have known this too; in the spring we had frogs living in the cover. That was kind of neat, the sounds they emit at night would help me sleep. Norman didn't like it too much, but I did. Until now. Frogs, we have frogs people!! How can I swim in that pool now? I have a hard enough time swimming in a lake, let alone a frog infested pool!! AHHHH!!!! Just to prove it, here's a photo of one of the little buggers. I was in the garden yesterday and found one just like this except it was no bigger than my thumbnail. Cute, but now I'm not really into eating the lettuce that I planted. *sigh*

Ah, your first spam comment. Nice to see you're fully indoctrinated in blogland.
As for the pool- I do believe chlorine would kill the little buggers off. The girls would love some tadpoles if you want to drive some over!
